Honoring A Remarkable Philanthropist
Friends of the Domaine de Chantilly (FODC) is delighted to announce the creation of an endowment fund in honor of its Chairman, Prince Amyn Aga Khan, who has led the organization with unparalleled commitment and generosity over the years. Under his leadership, FODC have become a valuable partner to Chantilly: it has raised international awareness of this incredible site, provided much needed funds for outstanding projects and orchestrated stimulating events in the U.S. and Europe.
The Prince Amyn Aga Khan Fund was initiated by FODC’s Board of Directors to recognize Prince Amyn’s extraordinary efforts and to ensure the continuation of his long-time support of Chantilly. Each Board member has pledged a personal contribution toward the Fund, with an additional gift from Prince Amyn.
Purpose and Management of the Fund
In accordance with FODC’s endowment policy, all gifts received for the Prince Amyn Aga Khan Fund will remain intact in perpetuity and held in a separate investment account at Alliance Bernstein which was created in December 2024. FODC’s Board and Investment Committee will maintain direct oversight.
In January of each year, the Board of Directors will disburse a portion or the totality of the previous year’s earnings for one or more projects proposed by the Director of the Musée Condé. These may include exhibitions, publications, restorations, acquisitions and research programs as well as cultural and scholarly activities that benefit Chantilly. Special consideration will be given to projects that reflect Prince Amyn’s own interests and prior support at Chantilly.
Support the Prince Amyn Aga Khan Fund
FODC hopes that all those who know Prince Amyn and have witnessed firsthand his profound dedication to Chantilly will want to support the Prince Amyn Aga Khan Fund. Gifts of any amount will help create a lasting legacy honoring an exceptional art lover and philanthropist.
