DESCRIPTION:Alain Decaux was a member of the prestigious Académie française and a very well-known media figure. He was also a journalist\, historian\, screenwriter\, and TV host. From 1999 to 2009\, he was the president of the College of Curators of Chantilly by way of the Institut de France. He played a large part in helping to establish the foundation now in place dedicated to the preservation of Chantilly.
