FODC Private Visit & Luncheon

Friends of the Domaine de Chantilly will welcome drawings collectors and art enthusiasts to the Château de Chantilly for a private visit of the new Gallery of Drawings & Prints and its inaugural exhibition – “Bellini, Michel-Ange, Le Parmesan. L’épanouissement de la Renaissance” – prior to the public opening. Guests will also enjoy a preview of the major exhibition, “Heures italiennes: La peinture de la Renaissance italienne conservée en Picardie,” led by Chantilly’s curators. The group will be treated to a luncheon in Vatel’s famous kitchen inside the château before returning to Paris for the opening of the Salon du Dessin.

Opening on March 24, the new Gallery of Prints & Drawings is located in an area of the castle that has never before been open to the public. It will provide a space in which Chantilly’s remarkable collection of works on paper is shared with the widest audiences in the same way that its paintings, rare books, and decorative arts are admired by more than 450,000 visitors each year.
